Last Thursday’s take off event announced the official beginning of Air Cargo Belgium’s activities, which will benefit the Belgian Air Freight Community as a whole. The new non-profit organisation at Brucargo, which gathers and brings together all logistic stakeholders, will act as cooperating medium.
Combining and consolidating forces and interests within Air Cargo Belgium will result into greater effectiveness and efficiency for the community. Over 200 attendees showed up for the event, which reflects the need and desire to implement this umbrella organisation.
All ACB members and guests got introduced to the concept, during a networking reception with finger foods and appetizers, in a cosy atmosphere with accompanying music. Supporting presentations and keynote speeches by Steven Polmans (Head of cargo Brussels Airport & ACB Chairman), Arnaud Feist (CEO Brussels Airport Company), Eric Sleeckx (representative Minister Muyters) and Geert Keirens (ACB Director), put the goals and mission of ACB into words.
This project is the next step in excelling and innovating Brussels Airport within the international air cargo industry. The intensive and extensive cooperation should reinforce the unique cargo industry position of Brussels Airport today and in the future.
To be continued.
